Leah E. Bevilacqua, M.S.Ed, NCC

Leah is recognized as a Nationally Certified Counselor and received her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University where she graduated with honors. Leah is committed to helping individuals rediscover themselves by cultivating a sense of belonging and rootedness throughout the therapeutic process. Her experience comes from over a decade of intervention with client populations in therapy settings ranging from residential, community-based, outpatient and wilderness therapy.

She utilizes integrative approaches to help individuals foster awareness, clarify strengths, and gain insight. She believes recognizing cultural factors and traumatic stress symptoms are key to developing appropriate therapeutic interventions. Moreover, her techniques to strengthen and empower clients vary but can include dialectical behavioral therapy, interaction with multisensory materials, and mindfulness based cognitive behavioral therapy. Regardless of the modality, Leah believes the most important factor predicting success is sincere and authentic connection.

She enjoys exploring wild places, engaging in artistic creation, and sharing space with her incredibly charming 4-legged companion, Hero.
