Matt is a dually licensed mental health practitioner and drug and alcohol counselor. He has experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. Matt is also certified in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and has worked in 12 step programs and SMART recovery for addiction counseling.
Matt prefers to utilize CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) for behavioral change, but also likes to work with clients using Existentialism as a method of developing identity and supporting young adults in deciding what they want for their future.
Matt brings a wealth of experience working with people who have sever and persistent mental illness and personality disorders. He feels that he often relates to young men because of his tendency to seek out science fiction, fantasy and horror as entertainment and despite his ‘advanced age’ he still enjoys to play video games.
