Lissa believes that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for much of the growth and progress that occurs within clients. She utilizes CBT, somatic, humanistic, existential and mindfulness techniques through a trauma-based lens to holistically support her clients, drawing from a comprehensive educational background, classroom experience, and thirty years of meditation practice. Lissa holds a BS in SLP and Audiology, Sign Language Interpreting Certification, a teaching credential and specialized training working with those with Autism. Her 20+ years’ experience with differently-abled populations directly support her therapeutic work on the Dragonfly Transitions campus.
Originally from New York, Lissa grew up in the woods. As an adult she has spent much time back country skiing in the Sierras, hiking, backpacking, climbing, working on organic farms and practicing yoga. Presently she loves cooking, knitting, Buddhist practices, riding her motorcycle, and puttering in her gardens.
