Kendra Schaffer

An Oregonian born and raised, Kendra is happy to be back in the Pacific Northwest. She grew up in Veneta, Oregon and graduated with a BA in Anthropology from Willamette University. Since then, she has continuously worked in settings focused around youth: summer camps, community pools as a swim coach, as well as service learning and cultural education trips in New Orleans, Denver and the Portland metro area. She spent two years working for a local nonprofit in Salem, Oregon doing vocational training and mentoring for at-risk youth. She later traveled to Leadville, Colorado and worked for the Department of Human Services doing strength and team-based family support as a High-Fidelity Wraparound Facilitator. A lover of the outdoors, she took the opportunity to get her Wilderness First Responder certification while living in the mountains. During her year of cross-country travel, Kendra realized how much she missed her home state and has moved back to be closer to family. She is thrilled to be doing hands-on work with young adults in teaching them important life skills so they can thrive.

When Kendra is not at work, she likes to travel, spend time with friends and family, and to be active. Get Kendra to run around and she is the happiest person in the world. She also likes to roast her own coffee and wants to learn how to sail. She is new to the Klamath Falls and is looking forward to exploring the area and familiarizing herself with a part of Oregon that has been unknown to her.
