Julianna Fultineer, MA

Julianna (or Jules) comes from a background of facilitating transformation in the outdoors. She came to the world of mental health through the circuitous path of being a river guide, mountain person, and lover of the land. As a youngster in Southern Oregon, Julianna learned to listen to the voices of nature as powerful guides toward self-transformation. After college, she channeled this passion into nearly a decade in the world of multi-day river guiding. Desiring more depth, she pursued a graduate degree in counseling and achieved an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Transpersonal Wilderness Therapy from Naropa University.

Jules brings an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on mindfulness-based, nature-based, and somatic methods to support clients. She holds specific training in ecopsychology, nature-based therapy, rites of passage work, and trauma-informed methods. With each client, she embraces the goal of creating an environment of relational safety where individuals can re-work old patterns and re-write stories. She does this all within the framework of a neurobiologically sound, and trauma-informed lens. Jules finds meaning in helping others navigate the swirling currents of their own lives and histories.

In addition to her experience in the field of mental health, Julianna holds a B.A. in Dramaturgy from Emerson College. In her free time, Jules can be found running rivers, sliding down mountains, and spending time outside with her family and her pup.
