A transplant to Klamath Falls, Joe hails from the northern midwest, having lived in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, and Indiana. Joe graduated from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids Michigan in 2011 with a B.A. in history and environmental studies. After completing his degree, Joe traveled to the Live Free or Die state, New Hampshire, to complete a 10 month internship with the Student Conservation Service, a member of the Americorps program. There he became a wilderness first responder.
Joe taught environmental science to 4th graders and built trails all over the state, even into Maine. After the internship, Joe moved to Indiana and taught at Indiana University’s outdoor nature school, Bradford Woods. After leading 5th graders on hikes up and down the hills and enlightening them to the beauty of coyote scat, Joe moved to Klamath Falls.
Joe can be found at Dragonfly working on projects that need to be done. When not at work, Joe is usually tinkering in his basement, taking his dog for a walk, or just trying to see what the high desert has to offer.
