Dalton Ahern

Position: Primary Admissions Coordinator

Dalton is a high energy member of the Dragonfly community that draws experience from an eclectic background. Dalton has a long history of performing Shakespeare on big stages in New York City, Boston, and across the nation. He studied Health Sciences at Hofstra University while competing in Division One wrestling.

Before joining the Dragonfly team, Dalton worked at Embark Behavioral Health in Arizona, where he represented ten mental health organizations simultaneously. His work allowed him to connect with families in crises, listen to their stories, and guide them to a program that best fit their needs. Eventually, Dalton felt compelled to focus his efforts on one program so that he could better integrate himself into the community. As Admissions Coordinator of Dragonfly, Dalton continues his work through connecting with families on the phone, but he now gets to meet them face to face! Whether it’s a live virtual tour, an in-person tour, or an enrollment, Dalton is happy to take his work one step further and watch families grow alongside each other from his front row seat in Klamath Falls, Oregon!

Kathryn Hixon

Position: HR Manager

I was born and raised in Southern California. While earning my BA in Psychology, I worked as a flight attendant, traveling and connecting with people of all walks of life. I previously worked as a crisis counselor, but decided to pursue higher education and go into the business side of healthcare. I earned my MBA from Western Governors University and have experience working for both rural clinics and a larger hospital, connecting patients to resources available to them as a Patient AdvocateMost recently, I am coming from the VA, where I did payroll for the clinical team, as well as, worked with Veterans and their families to help them navigate through the VA healthcare system.

I am married to a wildland firefighter, and Oregon is the fifth state we have lived inand are finally calling our forever home. We have two little boys and a German Shorthair Pointer named Scout. As a family we love to hike and fish, or do anything that gets us outside and exploring.

Coming to Dragonfly as the HR manager has been an exciting opportunity to use both previous experiences along with my education to help support staff. I am looking to building strong relationships with the team and supporting Dragonfly’s mission in our community!
