Kate Ritter M.A.

Position: Primary Therapist

Kate has been a practicing therapist for approximately 4 years. She received a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Virginia, graduating with honors. Her experience working in the mental health field spans through all age groups, specifically adolescents, young adults, and older adults. Kate has a love for truly understanding an individual for who they are, meeting them where they are, and designing a treatment based on what they need. Kate’s personal therapeutic preferences include elements of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and the Psychodynamic theory. Additionally, she provides a multicultural perspective within her practice, welcoming all from different backgrounds and ethnicities. She believes in the power of working alongside families and students as a team to create a stronger support system throughout the treatment process. Kate enjoys working with young adults, those within the LGBTQIA population, diverse populations, and more. Kate has received multiple honors throughout her education and training, including a membership in Omega Nu Lambda, an academic honor society for current and former students within and following their graduate degree.
