Karen Elliot

Position: Academic and Vocational Coordinator (Ashland)

Karen grew up in Scotland and later moved to California with her younger sister. Karen is excited about the next chapter in her life in Oregon.

Karen has worn many hats throughout her career from working in the interior design field to working with children as a preschool teacher. Karen received her master’s degree in Counseling and Student Personnel from San Jose State University and is taking classes at Walden University in mental health counseling. Karen is working on obtaining her Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure and is excited about her career development at Dragonfly Transitions.

For the past three years, Karen has used her expertise in career advising in the San Francisco Bay Area helping disadvantaged youth 18-24 achieve their employment, training, and educational goals through a federal funded program. Karen also has experience in higher education helping students and community members with their education and career goals at Ohlone Community College.

In her spare time, Karen enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and spending time with family. Karen makes it her goal to visit a national park each year.
