Jennifer Patzke, LPC
Jennifer Patzke, LPC has returned to Dragonfly as the Executive Clinical Director. After spending ten years with Dragonfly, Jennifer stepped away for three years to open her own practice. She is very excited to be returning to the team. Her passion for teaching, mentoring, and being an ambassador for positive program culture and superior clinical practice made the decision to return very clear for her.
Jennifer began her career working in child abuse investigation. She has also worked in county mental health and school settings, serving children and families. Prior to leaving to work in her private practice, Jennifer started with Dragonfly as a primary therapist in 2008. Her career grew during this time from working as the only primary therapist to stepping into the role of clinical director a few years later and supervising clinicians from all three campuses.
Jennifer’s favorite parts of working at Dragonfly are training up and supporting clinicians into the complex role of a Dragonfly therapist, facilitating family workshops and being able to observe the power of that work ongoing, and staying active and engaged in program growth and culture development. She believes in the philosophy of not asking anyone to do something you haven’t been willing to do yourself. She leads through empowerment and finding humility in her own growth as well.
Jennifer has specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Brainspotting, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Clinical Supervision. While Jennifer has a number of approaches and theories to draw from, fundamentally she approaches the work from a down to earth, relational place.
When Jennifer isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family and marvels at the joy in having she and her husband’s children navigate young adulthood. She loves to travel, experience live music shows, and generally be anywhere her kids are.
