Elias Ayala, MSW

Position: Primary Therapist (Ashland)

Elias comes from an honorable 24 years of military background serving in the U.S. Marine Corps & retiring from the U.S. Air-force. His goal is to bring awareness of the mental health crisis and breakdown the stigma that has been instilled in our society, preventing us from seeking help when the season arrives w/our mental health needs. Elias uses a client-centered approach, motivational interviewing, cognitive Behavior Therapy, and solution-focused therapy to encourage his clients to identify the strengths that lie within them.

While stationed in Puerto Rico, Elias obtained his Bachelors of Nursing at the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico (Metro campus). He later attended Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas where he earned a Masters in Social Work with a specialization of “Service to Hispanic Children and Families.”

When he is not working, you can find him riding the waves of the ocean or snow dust from the mountains. Additionally, he enjoys jogging, gardening, and exploring new places to eat.
