Chad Brown, M.D.
Dr. Brown resides in the Rogue Valley in southern Oregon and has a private practice in Medford. He has a range of experience from child to adult psychiatry. He particularly enjoys working with young adults in this stage of development.
Dr. Brown completed his child and adolescence psychiatry fellowship at the Oregon Health Science University in Portland, OR. Prior to that he did his adult psychiatry residency at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT. Dr. Brown attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, TX. He majored in biochemistry and molecular biology as an undergraduate at the University of Georgia.
Dr. Brown believes that working with the family system is crucial. No one individual needs to be “fixed,” because there is no one that is “broken”. Everyone can grow closer to Ease from Dis-Ease, and it takes changes from the whole family system to help alleviate the suffering of individuals in the system. He believes it is important to involve the individual in every aspect of the decision-making process. He believes in a collaborative process. Dr. Brown has two young children of his own who have helped him become a better physician and person.
