Patrick grew up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He made his way to Oregon and into the human services field by way of his own process of growth and self-discovery. He began his career by working with adolescents in a therapeutic wilderness setting. Since his introduction to the field he has had the privilege to work at a non-profit with developmentally disabled young adults, a family relief nursery with at-risk toddlers and their families, and with adults with severe mental illness. Through his professional journey, Patrick has developed values of respect, integrity, and acceptance that he applies to the clients with whom he works. He believes in the value of the individual and the remarkable capacity for people to make lasting changes in their lives.
Patrick received his B.A. in Psychology from Prescott College and completed his Master’s in Social Work from Portland State University. One of his areas of specialization is substance abuse treatment and he is a level II Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the state of Oregon. He is honored to be a program director, and to be part of the talented team at Dragonfly.
Patrick has made Klamath Falls his home. When he is not working, he enjoys reading, writing, running, mountain biking, yoga, rock climbing, traveling, cheering for all of his Dallas-based sports teams, and spending time with his girlfriend Kate and his dog Maya.
