Founders, Glenn White and Mona Treadway, are excited to welcome Destiny Young to the Dragonfly Team. Mona shares that “Destiny has integrity, authenticity, a collaborative spirit and passion for working with young adults and their families. It is these traits that help create the special community that is Dragonfly“.
Dori Them, Primary Admissions Coordinator, remains at Dragonfly and enthusiastically welcomes the additional support that Destiny brings. Sia Lewis also remains at Dragonfly and will continue to support outreach as well as focus her energies on Quality and Systems. The team has expanded and Dragonfly is excited for 2020!
Get to know Destiny
Destiny was raised in sunny Arizona and recently made her way to the great Pacific Northwest. She attended Arizona State University and received a BFA in Media Arts in 2007. She also obtained personal coaching certifications from the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts and Life Coach Institute of Orange County.
She has spent much of her life interacting with children and young adults. She taught private swim lessons for 15 years, volunteered as a high school cheer coach, worked as a children’s art director for a non-profit organization, worked youth special events for a parks and recreation department and varying corporations, as well as, provided mentorship and life coaching to them.
Before coming to Dragonfly Transitions, Destiny spent the majority of her career in the corporate world in people management and the customer experience. She has a passion for enhancing and delivering exceptional customer service and has implemented many successful and award-winning initiatives and trainings. Destiny is also interested in individual development, so she often integrated her coaching skills into her one-on-one sessions with teammates to build rapport, morale, engagement and encourage growth.
Destiny is excited to join the Dragonfly Team and appreciates the impact and value that Dragonfly Transitions has on transforming lives and equipping young adults with the tools needed for positive transitions. Destiny has a growth-mindset and truly enjoys seeing others develop into their happiest and healthiest self.
In her spare time, Destiny enjoys being the world’s best aunt to her nieces and nephews. She has a strong passion for the outdoors, enjoys running and hiking, art, traveling the world and she is often seen on adventures with her 3 golden retrievers.
