Klamath Falls, Oregon
Home to Dragonfly TRANSITIONS
Klamath Falls is located in Southern Oregon, within the shadow of Mt. Shasta and on the shores
of Klamath Lake. At an elevation of over 4,000 feet on the eastern slope of the Cascade Mountains,
this high desert region boasts an average of 300 days of sunshine per year; an added bonus for
those residents who struggle with Seasonal Affective Disorder (also known as “winter
blues”)!
Klamath Falls, a community of over 40,000 residents, is a manageable environment for students
providing all the necessary resources. It is possible to walk, bike or take the bus to any location
that students need to go. It is a calming and quiet environment which allows the space needed to
get to know oneself and to develop piece of mind.
The areas surrounding Klamath Falls offer a wide variety of outdoor opportunities —
mountains, desert, lakes, rivers, forests, and lava beds. The Klamath Basin is home to eagles and
numerous other wild birds and animals.
